a perfect book for anyone interested in science-fiction, H.P lovecraft and horror mythos as well as romantic-adventure.

the story is about a dhampir vampire hunter whose real name is unknown as he shorten his name to the first letter D. the year is 12,090 , more than 1000 years after nuclear war driving human to extinct and the rise of a group of elite vampire known as the nobility. this time,D is hired by a farmer name doris lang to protect her from marrying the count magnus as he gave her the kiss of nobility as well as to protect her family from the hand of the nobility and the villager who want to banish her

the story is great and the character appear naturally. among all,D is the best described character
