this was a fun read for a young adult book, but it wasn't groundbreaking.

as a mystery book it didn't really do much for me. it was fun to see them sneaking around for clues and testing their theories but it lacked the suspense of figuring out the mystery, which is what i look for.

the characters were kind of bland as well. my favourite was shira who was the β€˜stoner' but actually wasn't, she'd only manipulated people into thinking she was. unfortunately, her character wasn't explored very much in the book.
