Angel is just starting to get back to normal after Mardi Gras. Finally back to work, and the dead guy gets up from the table. He's not a zombie like Angel, more like movie zombies. Shambling zombies. Angel and the rest of the Tribe have to figure out what's going on before more people turn and die. I love this series! I was bummed that the release date kept getting pushed back, but it was worth the wait.
“White Trash Zombie Unchained” is the sixth book in the white trash zombie series. Angel pulls herself back together after the events of the previous novel. Angel and her friends have to go on a hunting to find and stop the new type of zombie that has emerged in town. These new zombies are mindless, infectious and ravenous, with these wondering around, a pandemic could start, and that is not good.
This novel was as good ad the previous novels. Angel was not as annoying as the last two novels, she has grown over the series as a whole. The novel had zombie alligators, which was pretty cool, which made the novel better. I liked the action within the novel, so I gave this a 4.5/5 stars.
Zombies and gators and mystery, oh my! Another really fun installment in the White Trash Zombie series. The book wraps up the threads of the series nicely and could stand firm at book #6, but I'd not say no to another installment down the line! If you enjoyed the weird humor in the Sookie Stackhouse series, you'll enjoy this series. I've only ever listened to the books in this series. Allison McLemore does a fabulous job voicing all the characters in the story. Found I was looking for reasons to drive or clean so I could listen to more of the story - which is always a sign of a good book!
