Work for It

The book just wasn't it for me. It was fine, I guess but it just wasn't good or memorable. The characters felt like caricatures, as if the author had selected a trait and then gave it to each character with no finesse. The rich boy villain is just a rich boy villain. The love interest is tall gruff but lovely. It felt like I had seen these types before and done better, no shade. Very good representation though, from the black gay guy with mental health problems that he works through in the book.
