This was casually interesting, but one cannot help but feel its lack of structure. It's just anecdotes from many many years of interviews, really. This is both its strength and downfall.
I love Tannen's area of study and find her work captivating, but seem to prefer her academic papers to these long-form popular books that are a bit lighter on thesis.
