I love the relationship between Eve and Mira and that really shines in this book.
I know that I am going to be in the minority here but I have to say that I liked Shadow and Bone better than this one. I had a hard time connecting with the characters in this book. I immediately connected with the ones in Shadow and Bone. I will continue on with this duology to see how everything ends, I just miss everyone from the original trilogy.
This one took me a bit to get into but once I hit about the 50% mark I was hooked. I think this was a great concept and really enjoyed the story. I will definitely check out more that this author writes.
I did not enjoy this one as much as the first one. I am still very interested in where the story is going and immediately picking up book 3. I loved the introduction of Nikolai.
