I never can put in word how much I just love this series. Expecielly the clokwork trilogy. It is really amazing.
I am not even usre how to disribe it but it is just amazing. Have some politics but not too much and just YES PLEASE.
Ok, this book. Was really easy for me to finnish, all the chapters were like maybe 8 sentences.
The book is about a group of boys trying to survive and live their lifes in east Oslo. (The forginer part of the city) They struggle with having to keep away from drugs, family buisness and order and everything in between.
This book was given a 6 all across the board when it came out. And the storyline is kinda great. But I was not a fan of the unbearable short chapters. It is written in a way that we call kebab norwigian. It is a languge that is a mix between arabic, chiniese, portugice, english with a mostly norwigian base. It makes it slightly harder to read as it often feel the words are just put there with no thought or intension (just how the langugage work).
Overall it was a 2.75/5
I do not even know how to disribe this book. I enjoyed that it was about an autistic person. I however did not enjoy the sex. There was way too mych
This book is one of those that instead of telling you a story it takes you on a jurnany. Something that for sure has to be done correctly in order for me to like it.
There may not be alot happening spesificly in the book. Ok yes there is stuff happening. But there is not much of a greater storyline? You learn and see alot of diffrent realtions between people. There is a deep theme about the complexity of humen relations and how to handle grief.
It also gives you a somewhat realistic wiev and look at how loosing somone as a wive in India might be. the loss and depression of not knwoing what to do as such.
For me this story was kinda not my taste, I tend to want a greater storyline and this simply only had smaller ones. It was not my kind of taste but also not really terrible. The writing style was also kinda denser and in need for more analysing than i wanted it to be.
Well I finnished this one. I am not really sure what to say about it. It felt really similar to alot of other books I have read. I know that this is older and therfore may the ‘original' but it felt kind of repetetive.
There was parts that I enjoy in this book. I enjoy the talks we get from time to time to get where there is actual proper lifeadvice.
I do wish we got more them tho as there was still alot of parts I was just not found of.
It does on the other hand shows us the inportence of family, a story of coming of age, aswell as women. Like in general the inportance it has. But do I feel they show it in a good way? No, not at all. The entire story got bland and just boring in my opinion. I will still read the next one and see if it gets better but I honestly doupt it
Well, marrying a prince is usually a dream. USUALLY.This book has one of those rare times where it is not a dream. It is rather a nightmare. And Marra, is going to help. The prince will be dead.
This book was just really clever and exidently written. It worked for keeping up the experince I had from reading the other books from this author.
I find the ideas really fun and intruqing. I felt exited and happy to turn almost all the pages. I did not use a long time reading this and I felt I just rushed threw it.
It is not 100% that I wish I could wipe my memory. But really close to it to be honest.
The worldbuilding from the very start was fun and intresting, as the other books I have read by him also are. I mean who does not want to know what happens futher when the mc is wanting to kill a prince. To help her sister. The explenations were not too dense and it all just flowed easily and effortless.
So yes I really enjoyed it.
When reading these type of books. The ones that are a rewriting of tales I am super familiar with. Thi howveer was all I could expect. It is much darker than the tradional tale. As an example the games playd are often leading to death, Peter when a lost boy dies just turn to get a new one, and we also quickly undertand who the mc will become later on I really enjoyed reading this book. It was just a little too long chapters for my taste4.75/5
This tale begins long after the fallout of Alice's return from her first trip into this alternate world that has left some serious emotional and psychological scars on her. She is struggeling to remeber the presetn and so the past and somewhat weird is even harder to rember. Then one night a fire breaks out and she and a man named Hatcher finnaly manges to exape the assilum. Alice find out that alot of the things she thought she knew may not actually be true
Now, to the actual rewiev part, I mean I do not know where to start even. Like I liked the overall story. I actually quite enjoyed reading it alot. Yet, I do not like it amazingly well. Like the connection to actual wounderland was not enough. They kinda made wounderland be less magical by well just somewhat removing it. It is mainly just the new vs the old city. Or how I read it, the new moderized and standard way of living and seeing the world vs the old and more chaotic under the shadows ways. I enjoyed the more whimsical and somewhat not straight forward dirction this story takes.
The weakest part of the novel for me were the eventual reveal of magic in this world, and the way that the original story almost seemed to keep this one contained within a box of its own making. i felt like story just had to fit certain things and it just was not 100% as whimsiical I wanted. I mean the fudemental idea is somewhat they on drugs and doped down on meds and suh and see and experience things. So I wanted that feeling some more.
Well, plus there is also just it was not simmiar enough to the original.
I am not even sure what to say. I just... I just fell in love with this book.
It was written in a way that just captured me for the first page. The author managed to hold me in a grip the entire time.
The book is about four people, all ill and having been in and out (some mostly in) of the hospital. It made me cry so much and I just also feel it is close to a truth and does not feel so far behind correct.
So just WOW, thank you to the author
THIS WAS FUNNY. And kinda nice. And I enjoyed reading it like ALLT. It is diffrent buta lso so simmilar to others and I just enjoyed every moment of reading it
This book was something I enjoyed and relaxed while reading. It was not a life changing book for me. But I was most deffnelty just in the wrong headspace the last time I read it.
So this book was not quite as good as the ones before. I mean dont get me weong it was still good. There is just details and things missing
I still do enjoy the old pictures and generally that this story mostly is about the past in some ways. I mean the loops are mostly elder so I do quite enjoy that. I am not sure how much I like the ending tho? It felt somewhat random and almost as the author wanted to just make things good and be abel to close the series here. Which has still more books after this.
I am not sure it felt almost lazy But not in a horrible way just in a .... Come on. Way.
There is also small things and details that I notised more in this book. Like the writing style and such. They are not huge remaeks. But bug enough
I hav to say that I somewhat felt a little bored as I read this book. It was ok ish but it was set up in a way that made me kinda bored
