Overdue or Die has so many of my favorite things...mystery in a small town, library, a ghost, cute kitty and light action scenes. I always love reading cozies in between my other reads and this is such a fun series.
If you enjoy the faves I listed as well, then this is perfect for you too. I sincerely appreciate the author and NetGalley for the review copy.
A Smoking Bun is all you need for the holiday...murder, mystery and a lot of fun. What better way to spend the day. This is such a fun read, I finished it in one day. Perfect one for Cozy Mystery fans.
I sincerely appreciate the author and NetGalley for the review copy.
One of my favorite series. This time around a car accident, turned homicide, keeps the crew, and friends, at Sip and Spin on their toes. Pair that mystery with a decision of the heart, too long in the making, and we've got a cozy mystery winner.
This is such a fun series and one lovers of this genre will enjoy. I sincerely appreciate the author and NetGalley for the review copy.
I cannot come up with any words to adequately describe my feelings on this one. If you read this one, be ready.
Elishaba is a courageous and amazing person. To go through all she has and still find happiness and have enough love for, not only herself, but others around her is inspiring.
I'm on a roll with cozies this month and having fun reading them. I really enjoy the different settings and places too. This time I was whisked away to Edinburgh, where a sword, a murder and of course the mystery surrounding it all had me lost in sleuthing heaven.
I haven't read any other books in this series and lately I seem to be finding books out of order but that didn't take anything away from the story or the characters. It does make me want to go back and read the other installments though. Looks like more fun reading ahead.
I sincerely appreciate the author and NetGalley for the review copy.
This book is proof of why I love cozy mysteries the best. You can usually start anywhere in the series, and not be confused. I jumped into book six of this series, and I enjoyed every minute of it.
I wasn't lost, I love the characters, I loved the mystery, and I absolutely adore Sawdust and reading blurbs of his perspective. This was an all-around treat, and now I need to go back and read all of the other books preceding this one.
I sincerely appreciate the author and NetGalley for the review copy.
Such a fun read. I love the quirkiness of DI Beauchamp and his team. This time around, there are two mysteries to solve, one being a cold case that Caius has been selected to delve into. The twists and surprises make this a quick read with fun characters and good storylines.
I really enjoyed the first book in this series, The Other Half, but The In Crowd was more enjoyable. I sincerely appreciate the author and NetGalley for the review copy.
Each book I read gets better and better. Absolutely love this series and can I just say... FINALLY! If you know, you know. If you don't, start with book one and binge read.
I love Delilah and Capone. They are a great sleuthing duo. Delilah's crew is great too and adds the perfect taste to the story. This mystery was a fun one.
I am so thankful to the author and NetGalley for the review copy. On to the next installment!
I LOVE Delilah! She is such a great main character and makes this cozy mystery a fun read. Butterball plays a bigger part in this one and I love how it plays out. Perfect one for Cozy Mystery fans.
This was a very cute and very quick read. It reads more like a YA romance than a contemporary one despite the main characters being in their 20s. I didn't mind that aspect but some readers may not enjoy it.
I love the short chapters and the dual timelines. The story itself was sweet and overall I enjoyed this one.
I sincerely appreciate the author and NetGalley for the review copy.
Absolutely LOVE this series. Every book is a delight, full of crazy shenanigans and chaos. Vero and Finlay are the perfect main characters and have me laughing often. This book was no different and I was here for it. I cannot wait for the next installment.
I sincerely appreciate the author and NetGalley for the review copy.
This is one of my new favorite series of all time. I did not want it to end. I loved everything about this series. The fairy tale characters. The action, drama, love and intrigue. My only question now is when is this going to be a movie LOL
3.5 rounded to a 4. Even though this was a bit slow at times, I did enjoy reading this one. The first one was packed with action throughout while this one had it all in the last few chapters.

That being said I did enjoy the exploration of Bianca's life and relationships around her so the slower parts and lack of action didn't take much away overall.

The ending does leave it a bit open and is left to the imagination of the reader to conclude. Not necessarily a bad thing though as you can see where it's headed.
Such a heartbreaking start to Christmas for this family, yet through the love and hope of some “true friends” this family learns to live and love again. I had many tears reading this one and could not imagine the pain of loss this family is going through. True to the Christmas spirit, small gifts can go a long way in the healing process. ❤️❤️
This is a very well written account of Andrew Cunanan and the murder of Gianni Versace and multiple others. What a crazy, strange world he lived and grew up in (mostly inside his own head). I was in my early 20s when this was going on and never even heard of it. I would definitely recommend this for anyone who is interested in true crime.
This was a book I won in a giveaway (however I was not asked to provide a review as a stipulation for winning). That being said I am GLAD I won this book. It is stated as being a legal thriller, however IMHO it's more like a mystery/legal drama. Is that a bad thing? NO!
First off, go into this one knowing it's a slow burn at the beginning as the author creates the legal world and background of the main character. She is a young lawyer, rebounding into her legal career after a short hiatus dealing with trouble in her marriage and unhappiness in her chosen profession. She finds her chance to get back into the swing of things through a case involving real estate law. It is during this fight for her clients that she uncovers a myriad of schemes and crimes. I don't want to give anything away by mentioning here.
Second, the author uses a large and unique choice of vocabulary throughout which makes the scenes really come alive and (I think) adds to the charm of the book overall.
There is a reason she was a National Indie Excellence Awards finalist and I'm excited to read more from her.
If you enjoy spy-type thrillers then this is definitely for you. I enjoy a good thriller, however this kind of read is out of my norm. I am glad I took the time to read it. It does put into question....what if? Considering the power the government has over everything, it is a valid concern and this book will take you on a thrilling and scary journey of What If??
This is not a book to read quickly. To fully grasp the imagery, story, and situations the people of New Eden are faced with, this must not be read but digested.
Watching Fillion grow into a better person, finding worth in himself and the value in that same worth to others had me in tears. Likewise watching Willow come to the realization of who she is as a young woman and finding the strength and the love within herself that she shares with Fillion made my heart ache.
Coal's change from “Martian” to “fully human” was very interesting to see. How the “real world” interacts is such a cold place to live. And yet he finds love in Lynden and gives up the life he once knew. Lynden growing, changing, and coming into her own person was a struggle to read. My heart hurt for her and rejoiced along with her when she and Coal finally came together.
There are so many secrets withheld from the people of New Eden. The threat to their way of life and potential ejection from the only home some of them have know is tearing me apart.
And yet the saga continues. I cannot wait to get lost within this journey again...
Thank you so much Jesikah Sundin for allowing me the pleasure of continuing this series and reviewing it for other readers.
I really wanted to like this one. It was very slow, bad editing, and the storyline was sadly boring.
I do appreciate the chance at winning this from a Goodreads Giveaway and being able to read and review.
I was asked by the author to read and review this cute story! Follow the tale of this adorable fox as she tries to bring the sun to her mom and finds friendship and courage along the way. I love the life lessons showcased and cannot wait to read this to my grandbaby. Thank you for the opportunity to read this loveable tale.
Quick, easy read. Enjoyable but not thrilling or suspenseful. Main character was tiresome at some points with constant repetition but overall it was an ok story.
I was gifted this beautiful story by the author about a tiny hare on a quest to save his sick sister. On his journey he learns to overcome his fear, with the help of some courageous friends.
For those looking for a fun, yet meaningful story for the babies....this is it. Also be sure to check out her other book The Sunny Adventure!! Trust me you'll fall in love with the stories as well as the cute little critters.
Another fun one with Stormy Day and Jeffrey. I love the 1st one the most so far but this is definitely an enjoyable series and what a way to get through a workout at the gym.
In Death of a Crafty Knitter we return to Misty Falls and Stormy Day (lovable gift store owner/part time nosy “detective”. A member of the Misty Falls Crafty Knitters meets with an untimely demise. It's up to Stormy and her father to snoop, prowl and uncover the truth of who the murderer is.
I was giggling so many times throughout this story. Who doesn't love a good murder mystery in a small town? The only thing l was hoping to see more of was development of the spark between Stormy and handsome lawyer Logan. It's there, it's slowly building...so maybe the third book is the charm?
My heart. This was such a well written story about teenage angst and the manipulations that can be had when the path badly taken and low self worth collide. Sarah's journey and eventual liberation that later leads to deep soul searching and growth had me in tears.
This was a Goodreads giveaway win. I appreciate the chance to read and review Stolen.
