What a fun read!!!! I cant wait to start on the next book. I am really finding I like Shannon Mayer's writing style, and her books are a nice quick read for me.
Oh Andrea. This book give you lots of backstory on Andrea, how her and Raphael get back together, and its definitely worth the read! I love the Kate Daniels world.
Wow. Thank you dearest A for asking me to read this. It was a super treat.
First off, all the spelling errors drove me nuts. I was going to make a list of them, but it wasnt worth my time. Since I am even taking the time to write down some thoughts about this... trainwreck. I dont have to say this every time, but i HAAAAAAAAAAAAAATE when the heroine says, I'm on the pill, we dont need condoms. Are you people so stupid to think babies are the only reason you use condoms? Really? And, what kind of man is like, good nuff. That is just, so beyond me.
The contemporary references also pulled me out of the book, and I never care for them, why are we talking about Disney's Frozen? And, I always feel like its going to make the book and setting seem old in a few years, you know, when those references are no longer fresh.
And, then there are Jack and Jilly. blah. Nothing extraordinary here. Except one of them really liked to play fetch, but that comes in later. And I really enjoyed when a certain someone peed on their own face. But when the whole werewolf thing came out, everyone was surprisingly calm.
At least this and Charley Davidson kept me slightly entertained during Hurricane Harvey!
This book was pretty predictable, but it was still an amusing read. I just can't get into when the H and h “fall in love” after a few days. Lust, maybe.
Good continuation of the story, but I was confused for the first 4 chapters? Maybe I didn't remember what happened in the first book. I don't really like the love triangle here either, its.... odd.
While I liked this book a little more than [b:Cinder 11235712 Cinder (The Lunar Chronicles, #1) Marissa Meyer https://d2arxad8u2l0g7.cloudfront.net/books/1470056948s/11235712.jpg 15545385] I am still not swept away in this story. I like it just enough to keep reading, but I am not emotionally connected to any of the characters. I was really starting to like the Wolf and Scarlet romance, until that cheese-fest at the end. That ruined it for me.
This wasnt my favorite biker romance I have read. Yes, it was dirty, Megan Crane sure can write some steamy sex scenes. But Greeley is SUCH as ass, I don't think there was much of a relationship for him and Merritt to work with. Merritt says that there is more to a relationship than sex, and I must agree.
I am not writing this one off yet, but maybe the second book will be better. I would like more action, and not necessarily between bodies. I felt like the way they “bad guy” was taken out at the end was extremely anti-climactic. It deserved more than a few sentences, and maybe a little more bloodshed. I mean, we are dealing with bikers and outlaws here.
I am still torn on whether or not I liked the main male character. I love an alpha male, but hes just so emotionally.... damaged or something. I am torn between like the main romance, and thinking Taylor should GTFO. Definitely not your average romance novel.
Dark psychological twist on a “romance”. No real romance in here for me, I enjoyed the premise of the story, but I am going back and forth with some of the guts of the story.
Ohhhhhhh my gaawwwdddddd. I love Ash. I freaking love him. I love Larkspur. It is utter agony waiting for these books. Shannon Mayer did has done an amazing job, and I love that her books arent necessarily written to be long. They are concise, hit you where things feel good, or bad, and then I'm left wanting the next book like... now. ugh. ugh!
I was not ready for this book. This is my second Tarryn Fisher, and I loved it.
It's like a fist clutched around my heart, squeezing all day long.
“I ignited something in your heart, and then left you to burn on your own.”
I LOVED this. I ate this shit up. What is life now that I have to wait until NEXT YEAR for book 2. At least it didn't end on some huge cliffhanger. I loved Callie's blood and roses and dead man's ink series. And I'm very excited for the rest of this series. Was it perfect? No. But it was sooo fun, and it was pretty spicy if you are into that. Oh, and I listened to the audiobook, the voice actors were phenomenal. I have a preorder in for the book so I can read it too.
4.25 Stars.
This book was great! Although, sometimes I wanted to scream at Celaena, you have to remember she is only 18 ish. I LOVE Chaol. I LOVE Dorian. I Hated the ending to the book. It always annoys me when books end on huge over the top cliff hangers(or TV shows). Like, I am going to read the next book, don't put me in MORE pain. At least in my case I was late to this party and I have the next book on my kindle :)
I enjoyed this book, but there were times I was confused what was happening. Especially in that first chapter.
WHAT THE FUDGE SKYE WARREN. WHERE IS MY REVENGE STORY.

This is how I felt when I was reading that book. Constantly. CONSTANTLY. Seriously. There was promise of so much, and there was just a lot of let down. The romanticized relationship between Gabriel and Avery was so weird, like, for starters, he BOUGHT her. Maybe like, a year ago I would have felt different, because tastes change. But as of right now, I was really hoping that Avery would at least try to take down part of his organization or something. It seems like maybe hes not such a bad guy, but sometimes hes just too much.
ALSO, NO CONDOMS. I hate this so much in modern settings. Yall stupid as shit characters. Like, for serious, you want children already? You want STI's? You dont even know this man and he apparently pays for strange, and you are ok with not using protection. Even if I can get over that you are already in love with him, you should at least be asking for condom use. Its not offensive to say, lets be SAFE. Unless it is, man am I glad I am not dating. Ugh to all of that.
Well, I know Ill be asking the library to grab the last book, because at this point in flippin invested, and I need to know what happens. I have no expectations, so hopefully its better than this one.
4-4.5 Stars
Re-read! I was feeling sentimental, as it was the 1 year anniversary of the passing of my Grandmother. She handed me this book when I was oh, about 16, and said to me “This is my favorite romance novel.” I remember really liking it then, and it held up well over the years. Warning: There may be spoilers ahead.
At the beginning, I was like, WTF! Dougless stop being such a carpet! Robert and Gloria were SO infuriating. But so was Dougless. Then comes Nicholas, Nick, Colin, whatever he gets called all of these, is called forth to D's time. He was also annoying. But throughout the book, D and N grow as people, which I really appreciate. I liked that they had a mystery to solve together, and when they do they are separated again. What! Don't worry, now D will travel to N's time! So much fun. So you get to see them fall in love twice, always fun. The sex isnt over the top in details to detract from the actual romance of the story. And of course, the ending. I loved it! I have to admit, I cried.
That was a cute little short story. I needed something quick to read while my husband was napping before I made dinner. Story was OK, characters were a little flat. Since it only took an hour of my time, it wasn't too bad.
Such a boring 7%. I have tried “cleansing my palette” with other books, and some Pokemon, but alas, this book is not holding my attention.
WOW. What a powerful narrative. This isnt pretty. It isn't easy to read. There were times where I had to put this book down, and take a moment. Wow. I am relieved that I didnt worry about a lot of these things when I was a kid, but at the same time I am terrified for our youth. Rape culture IS a thing. It is present in our lives. Do I even need to mention the Turner case? This should be required reading for some kind of high school class. Or at least on a teachers you should read list.
UGH! Why did I bother. Why didnt I stop reading when I last updated? It would have saved me being really annoyed. Tripe. I think I would have rather done yard work, but I didn't think of it until I was finished.

WTF. I was SOOOOOOOOO excited when I saw the library had this book. And then I started reading it. First chapter, not so bad. After that, mother freaking the worst. What the fudge! What is wrong with this book! I forced myself to read this far just so i could justify giving a star rating. I can list some things I would rather have done. Sit next to a screaming baby/child for 2 hours. Listen to my strange neighbor bark until midnight. Clean several toilets.
Do I need to go on? I wanted savagery, and a building of trust, and instead I got weird sex, and they decided to trust each other right then. And that he would love her already. WTF. I know you are married and shit, but come on. My favorite part was when Mel shot her husband, and shot his brother. I think those were separate scenes. But seriously, terrible book.
Also, apparently the Italian was butchered, Here is a review that tells you whats wrong with the Italian, from someone who is fluent!
This was just ok, not nearly as good as other Tessa Dare books I have read. I didn't care for Violet.
This book had the potential to be more captivating, but I felt like there was a lot of unnecessary inner monologue. Like, a lot. Otherwise, pretty solid read, and I didnt feel anything was predictable.
WELL, finally this series is over. After all that, I am so annoyed with the ending! WTF! And how in the hell would Ellie and Camden have been able to work through the jungle?! And why was Javier so flip floppy? Whatever, I am glad it is over, and I have answers. KH can write some really steamy sex scenes, but just to warn you, one of them is in a gas station bathroom, and I felt a little dirty reading it. Then I remembered it was just a book. I seriously do not like Ellie though, and felt like she got a HEA when she didnt deserve one, so.... yeah. I guess Camden would have suffered for it too though.
Its just getting better! I find that I am starting to really like Faris, I hope hes not evil.
