This book is the second book from Darcy Coates I've had the pleasure of reading, and it won't be my last. The book follows Margot, a young woman estranged from her family, that returns to her ancestral home after the death of her family. Looking for closure and a potential purpose for her life she quickly discovers her inheritance may be more than she bargained for in a home. Deeply atmospheric this is the perfect gothic read for the fall spooky season. Thank you Poisoned Pen and NetGalley for the ARC copy of this book.
Wow. Great story....I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. Not for the faint of heart for sure.
Bravo. This is exactly why I read books...to experience things in life I would never dream of attempting in real life so vividly I feel like I'm there! I loved every minute of this book...the atmosphere, the plot...the conclusion. Highly recommend!
Loved it!
Not quite as good as the first, but still a super fun book! Loved it, and I can't wait for the next one!
I won this book on a giveaway and I am so glad I did. Liane Moriarty weaves the complexities of the relationships between family members into a riveting drama that keeps you on the edge of your seat the whole way through the book. This was my first Liane Moriarty book and I can definitively say it won't be my last! Great read!
It was okay
I spent the first 3/4 of this book just being pissed off at one of the main characters. About gave up and C.H. came in for the save at the ending. Not my fave but still good.
This book was just “meh” for me. I had to pull myself forward reading only to end the book with a mediocre ending. Somewhat predictable.
A really fun, quick read. Is it overly complicated and mind-blowing? No...but fun nonetheless.
Super cute! Brought all of the Hallo-Autumn cozy witch vibes! Truly enjoyable read :)
