So far one thing that I didn't like in one of the chapters on of the earlier ones I forgot which one it was in but anyway I didn't like where a little ducking got picked up by a crow and that didn't sit well with me at all. Why is the father of this girl an asshole and some parents want to have their kids close to home or not pushing them out of the house till they are ready to be on their own till at least kids figure out and have enough money to be on their own and apartment to live in. And it shouldn't be up to the parents to make up their children's minds on how they would live their lives and I didn't like this book or this story from beginning to the ending and also didn't like the part where animals were being used once about and this time they had to be locked in caged for some stupid party. Also I have found that Cassie was pretty annoying where if she was so worried about her period being late she should got checked out or took a pregnancy test and it was a good thing I didn't waste my money on being this one.
What would have happened if Maia would have had her period if she was faking to be a boy cause there is no way she would have avoid that and also what would she do if some girl starting to flirt with her and there is also way no one couldn't tell from a girl voice to a male voice and no one even notice that she had breast? They also say that lying is no good but they keep doing it and I also found Maia annoying always complaining about anything and everything and the pace for this book it was very slow and boring and I thought the narrator who was reading this book was annoying and why did she had to whisper when some parts of the words that came up the narrator had to do that and that annoyed me. And it was a good thing that I didn't waste my money on buying this book thank god for the library and I gave the first book in the series a 1 star.
In the first chapter of this book seemed like Same was a stalker cause of all the information he had on Sadie and when they first met in the hospital where in the game room the boy at the time who was Sam and was playing Mario and I used to play that game all the time when I was little. And I didn't like how the chapters were in sections in the book and how the chapters have to start from chapter 1 again I wish that it just continued with the number of the chapters and cause I like to know how much longer I have to read the book. And why does all most every chapter like for example Sadie said and then Sam said and then Zoe said and so on? It was pretty annoying after saying the word “said” thru out the whole book. I have to say that for the pace of this book was slow to medium and don't get me wrong I like how it talked about Mario, Mario Kart, Mrs. Pac-Man, Tetris those were my games that I use to play all the time.
I would have to say that this book had my full attention from the very beginning to the end and Ellis was very strong character in the book from being brave taking Ruby and Calvin's picture in the first chapter to being shot at from a mother who lose her child in accident that caused her to think that Ruby was her own child and she changed the name to Victoria. If it wasn't for Claire the housemaid god knows what would happened to the kids if she didn't speak up and letting Lilly know where Calvin ended up in a home and sent to another family who had him tied up in a barn if it wasn't for Lilly and Ellis for finding him. I gave this a 5 stars because of Ellis and Lilly
