Randomly came across this book in the house I was staying in on holidays. It was an easy read, didn't love it, didn't hate it. It was more of a comfort read by the pool
I did enjoy this but also didn't love it. I wasn't sure how it was going to end and I didn't see the end coming at all. Was pretty consistently surprised by the plot and what was happening. So overall, I liked but didn't love it
I did enjoy this book and the characters in it but at times I wondered what the purpose of it actually was.
The plot seemed a bit loose and there didn't seem to be any huge events happening. A bit more like day to day life for a woman going through some big changes in her personal life. I did enjoy it though, and found it quite comforting.
Robyn Harding is my guilty pleasure. All of her books have pretty wild plots but I can't help loving them.
The party was no different, what starts as party for some teenage kids, ends in disaster and the book follows the lives of all those affected. Really enjoyed as I have with all Robyn Hardings books.
The first Nicholas Sparks novel I read was The Notebook, which unfortunately dissapointed me, I was expecting it to be more impressive and to leave a more lasting impression on me which it failed to do so.
I did however decide to try another Sparks novel before casting him as an author I disliked, initially I wasn't too sure I would like this novel, but it definitely interested me more, the furthur I read, I found myself wanting to read more and more, and wondering how it would end up.
I found that it was easier to believe in the love shared between John and Savannah, it seemed more legitimate and real. I read the last 100 pages or so without putting the book down, and even though the ending wasn't what I initially wanted, I found that it fit the story, it satisfied me.
I would definitely recommend this book for anyone unsure of their feelings for Sparks novels, or anyone who likes a good romance story.
Really enjoyed this book. Once you get through the first few chapters, it becomes harder and harder to put it down.
I spent 3/4 of the book speculating on who I thought was the murderer. Turns out I had the wrong sister, but I think that actually made it better because I was so surprised
I had reservations about the fact that there's so many perspectives being told in this story.
It was hard initially to get used to, but after a few chapters it was fine. There was a good few different plot twists, not all of which were believable. It was made a 5⭐️ read by two plot twists. One was at the end where it was revealed who was the murderer. I'm not sure why but I didn't see it being that character, but I was so taken by surprise. There's another twist during the book that just had me shocked. Those two things alone made it a 5⭐️
I was curious to read this after watching the Netflix series. Something about the book just doesn't sit right. It's first hand, so obviously a little biased. However, its riddled with speculations, theories and seems more like a venting journal entry than something worth publishing. I didn't like Rachel from the start and unfortunately my opinion didn't change
This was one of those books that I kept seeing everywhere. So figured it was time to actually read it.
I was worried that it wouldn't live up to the hype in my head, I'm so glad I was wrong. A couple of the plot twists took me by surprise and I definitely didn't see the end coming. So I really really enjoyed it. Definitely one of those books I think everyone would enjoy
What do you do when you read all the books you brought on holidays within 5 days?
You start reading the ones that are already in the house. That's what happened with this book.
I did enjoy it, and I think it was relatable. Haven't we all had a guy who never called us? It was enjoyable but not necessarily a book I'd recommend everyone to read.
I was on holidays and ran out of books to read, this one was in the house and I thought I would give it a go. I ended up loving it, I didn't know where the plot was going to go and ended up loving where it did go. It was well written (in my opinion) and the ending really took me by surprise.
As far as thrillers go, this one was great and I'd definitely recommend it
This was a book.. and I read it. That about sums it up.
I ended up borrowing this from my library as I was looking for another title by the same name and accidentally reserved this one. I decided to read it anyway. There was some plot twists, but I feel like the ending of what happened her husband was a bit predictable. Overall, left me a little disappointed
I enjoyed the plot and concept of this book. It initially reminded me of “One Day” and funnily enough this was also mentioned in the book.
I seem to pick Colleen Hoover when I want an easy predictable enough read. I haven't read one that has been a 5⭐️ yet. However I do still enjoy her novels, a bit of a guilty pleasure. I normally pick one when I want to get lost in a book and have it finished within a few hours.
I started reading this and physically couldn't put it down until I finished it. Beautifully written and quickly became one of my favourite books I've read!
4⭐️, I did enjoy it but honestly I felt like it dragged a little in some spots.
The biggest reason I actually continued reading was because I was on holidays and didn't have another book with me. Overall I did enjoy it, I just think it would have been just as good if it was 100 pages shorter
At this point, I think Taylor Jenkins Reid can do no wrong. I've started working my way through her back catalog and they're all turning into 5⭐️ reads. I went back and forth on what I thought would happen. The big reason it resonated with me though, was I identified with Lauren's feelings and wondered what I myself would do in the situation.
Highly highly recommend
I was a little apprehensive going into this one, I enjoyed ‘Rachel's Holiday' but it was difficult in some parts.
Read this on holidays and fell in love though. I think Keyes' writing style has only improved over the years as I really enjoyed this. I found it an interesting and enjoyable read and would say i preferred it to the first! After this I would be interested in trying some more of Marians work, if it's anything like this then I think I would really love them.
Predicatable-ish Romance, that's not a bad thing though.
I lean towards romantic books like this when I want something comforting, easy to read and enjoyable. It distracts me from my day to day life and that's why I enjoy them so much. I think from the outset it's easy to imagine the ending, I did however really enjoy the journey to that ending and would definitely enjoy reading more of Emily Henry
Would recommend it for people that want an enjoyable, comforting read with a little
I picked this book up and physically couldn't put it down. I tried to, multiple times and just couldn't stop reading. Managed to multitask cooking and eating while reading.
I had a case of holiday blues when I started reading this and it was a welcome escape for a few hours into the story of Olive and Adam. I really loved the characters and how the entire romance between them developed.
Why wasn't it a 5⭐️ read? I think it just lacked some complexity and depth in the plot.
