First of all, that poop 💩 thing was hilarious. Clever way to stop revering your crush.
Second of all, Sal's father was the cutest!!!! His reactions towards Kulti, hahahaha. Her father really stole the spotlight.
Next, I think I prefer Winnipeg more than this one, but Kulti still held the expectations.
The things I like:
The way Kulti one-sidedly said Sal as his best friend, the way he fell for her first, the way he still treated everyone else like dirt except her... and that moment when Sal realised she still in love with him. That confession she made about her being a fangirl, hahahahah. So cute.
As the tittle, the story depicted Batman's first year and James Gordon's first year as Lieutenant in Gotham. Batman met Selina Kyle here. The GPD was fulled of corrupted officers.
As honest Gordon was towards his job, his infidelity made so human in this story. (Kinda felt bad saying that)
Almost every one in power wanted Batman dead. The scene in the building was very epic! And Batman saved a cat.
I'm reading this again because i suddenly missed jaron, and i heard that the fourth book is out!!!
I was struggling at some part but very engrossed at some. The Mercy Seat was my favourite.
I really like this one! I can't believe that I even forgot that I've read this once. Unlike before, the more I read the more I appreciate the art.
Mother's Day and Father's Day issues were depressing and I like how Bruce questioning his father's action of helping Falcone's son when he was doing the same thing with all the other criminals. Especially Joker. The Irony.
I also like the twist at the end where it was revealed that Gilda was the Holiday. And her motivation albeit too simple gave me goosebumbs. Though the ending did make me scratched my head.
I don't understand why Harvey said there were two killers when infact it was three. Or so it seemed.
Yeah the ending doesn't really make sense when you think about it. But I still enjoyed it!
P/s: I read on reddit that Gilda only deluded herself that it was Harvey doing the killing—to finish it all and be with her, and she refused to believe that Harvey was gone—when infact it was Alberto. He orchestrated his own murder and took over the rest of the murders to spite his father and to become something that cannot be ignored. Contrary to Batman's statement, Harvey didn't consider himself the Holiday because he was the Two-face. Killing Falcon was just something the needed to be done. I'll take this interpretation.
I never really had any luck when it comes to romance book. I really wanted to try reading romance and I thought, why not read books about the type of guys that I like—silent and reserved.
When I searched for silent hero this book came at the top. Though Aiden was definitely not the type of silent that I'd go for, I had zero regrets reading this. That was understatement. I freaking LOVE this book!
Their interactions were so precious. Especially when he tried to make up for his mistakes. Both of them were very similar to each other. The thing that I like the most about them is how they both used the people they hate as a benchmark to how-not-to-be.
And the epilogue was so sweet! Ughh my heart!!
That was so beautiful!
I was never a fan of flowery and lyrical prose in books. But this book, THIS. Patricia somehow made me engrossed in her writings without my knowledge. Every sentence pulled me into the story. Sybel's story was wonderful! A tale about love, revenge and letting go. Just beautiful.
I don't know what to say. I just freaking love this trilogy! And Logen is my favourite.
2nd read.
The first time i read this i enjoyed as much as i did the first book. But, having read the second time, I have a few things to say about this book. First of all Jaron's plan was way too reckless and foolish. It's a shame we never get to know his original plan with the pirate. Second, Devlin the Pirate King was very disappointing. Despite all that reputation he was nearly defeated by a fifteen year old boy! And the way the pirates recruited people so easily just don't sit well with me.
But then again despite all that i really enjoyed this book. Nostalgia might be one of the reasons. And the way Jaron never gave on Roden was just so sweet.
This is my first contemporary book and I've always read fantasy. I decided to give it a go because it was my fav booktuber's fav book. It was okay. Emm, I guess i just stick to fantasy.
Easy five stars. The story gripped me from the first page. The plot, the characters, and the writting, I love everything.
Surprisingly I enjoyed this book more than the first one. The nonsensical elements, Alice's thoughts and curiosity could be seen more in this book than the first one. And I enjoyed it more because of that.
“In the future . . . if by some miracle you ever find yourself in the position to fall in love again . . . fall in love with me.”
I-I... that was probably one of the most beautiful written words I've ever read.
Sometimes, I found myself thinking about this book randomly and my heart hurt. The book frustrated me so much but it made you think about all the women who went through what Lily experienced. And thinking about it just hurt...
The wordbuilding was so fascinating. The idea that they had to feed off from different gender of their own kinds and not from humans was brilliant. Must be suck for the gays.
I like Beth. Butch and Marrissa were just so cute! The brothers. Arghh! I like their bantering and Zsadist intrigued me. But the whole leather jackets and leather pants and sunglasses things were just not for me. And the brothers names, hah! Oh well, guess i just have suck it up.
P/s: i really wished it wasn't an erotica. Can't handle all those sexy scenes very well.
Reading this again brings back memories of me giggling whenever Rook and Fer talking to each other. They are the best thing about this book.
I just realised something while reading this book. That the only couple that i really care is percabeth. The others, meh.
As the series continues i think it gets repetitive in terms of the quests. I mean.. it was fun but... well, they are demigods after all.
I watched Golden Compass long ago and remembered loving the movie. It ended in way that there would be a sequel so I searched it up. And turned out the movie was a flop—how sad I was when I learned this. And it was based on a book series. One thing that made me loved the movie so much was the bond between human and their daemon. There was just something about their deep connection that touched something inside me.
But for some reason I've been putting off reading the series because I was afraid I'd end up disliking them. LOL how wrong I was.
But honestly, it took times for me to get used to the writing style, but the second half of the book grabbed my attention just like that. And Lyra dear! She made me fell in love with this book! She is so witty and smart! Lord Asriel surprised me the most. I didn't expect him to be like THAT. Asshole. Oh, and Iorek Byrnison! My polar bear! I love him and lyra.
I know the trilogy was a critic towards religion, but I can't say much about it cause I don't really understand it fully.
