I tried very hard to connect to the characters in this book, but I couldn't. This book was just not for me!
I endured two months of emotional rollercoasters reading this series and it was so worth it! A great ending
What a unique story! This started out pretty slow for me then I absolutely couldn't put it down towards the end.
3.5! I thought I'd like this a little more than I did, but it was still cute and had some good “Guncle Rules” and quotes that I enjoyed.
I just loved this. “Neither you nor I nor anyone can ever know whether a story is happy or tragic.”
I was nervous to read another Kristin Hannah book after not loving The Great Alone, but I found myself very invested in the characters and the story. I would definitely recommend this book, especially to anyone interested in learning a little bit about the Dust Bowl and Great Depression.
It was definitely challenging getting into this after the horrendous cliff-hanger in the previous book, but I ended up really enjoying it! Now onto the finale
The emotional pain I endured reading the last 50 pages of this book cannot be put into words. Gah.
