I did not like it at all for several reasons. The first being the same reason I hated Wuthering Heights: obsession disguised as love. But this also had the additional cavalier discussions of rape and pedophilia. I don't care about when it was written. It sucks.
Look, I don't know how I feel about this book but I think about it way more than I want to and the images are seared in my brain. In that way it's a masterpiece
Omg I absolutely love Meg Cabot. I don't think I can ever express how grateful I am to her. She absolutely fabulous and this book is one of my all time favorite novels. Please, I beg you write more!!!
It was good. I mean, gave me hope in love and everything. But towards the middle/end I got extremely frustrated with Rachel's passiveness. All I kept thinking is enough is enough already! I was also frustrated at the end with the fact that Rachel allowed Darcy to manipulate the situation. Like, I get it she's non confrontational but literally risking your reputation and your parents because you can't be bothered is annoying. And honestly, she should've been way more pissed.
Anyway, the writing was good, easy to read, and fun.
