I had this book by Emily Griffin recommended to me and I'm glad I bought it.
Read it in 2 days, bought the sequel at midnight straight after finishing.
Rachel is a strong heroine who puts up with a lot from her long term friend Darcy.
I think this story resonates so much because we've probably all had a friend like Darcy.
I struggled to get through this book. None of the characters were even likable! The main character was just this whiny, woe-is-me girl who is “best friends” with a complete bitch. Terrible book, don't even waste your time reading it, I wish I hadn't.
It was ok. The characters and their fears, desires were clear. As you can see from other reviews many character's personality where un-liked. My issue was the author explaining to much instead of showing action, or dialog. I've read many reviews before picking up this book. Anyone who says Rachel should have ended up with Ethan has not read the book. I think that option is movie based. Ethan is long distance in this and he is rachel's vacation escape from the wedding. The book had Hilary as the friend mostly in the know, giving advice, and challenging Dexter.
