See allWhile I do find it hard to believe that kids in 2044 would find movies, tv shows, music and games from the 80's so unbelievably awesome, I really got swept up in this story with these characters and could not put this book down. I'm very curious to see how Spielberg's movie turns out.
Made the mistake of reading the author's introduction and had the novel ruined for me but enjoyed it nonetheless.
Wanted to give this 2.5 stars but forgot Goodreads doesn???t do half stars. Not a terrible book but also not super interesting. Repetitive at times.
Written by a teenager, it seems this book is good for a middle school audience but isn't up to par with other YA novels. It contains loads of exposition, all the characters sound the same, and we are constantly told how great Eragon is without really seeing it for ourselves. Impressive that a sixteen year old wrote it but I don't see myself reading the other installments of the series.
I think I actually enjoyed this one the most out of the three. Montolio was a great character.
