See allWhile I do find it hard to believe that kids in 2044 would find movies, tv shows, music and games from the 80's so unbelievably awesome, I really got swept up in this story with these characters and could not put this book down. I'm very curious to see how Spielberg's movie turns out.
I thought I had read this before but now I think I merely started it when I was a teenager but never finished it (I remember my parents had a Reader's Digest abridged version of it). It's very similar to the movie with a few differences. Most notably Norman Bates' physical appearance and how the book starts with him rather than Mary (Marion in the film). If you're a fan of the film, it's definitely worth reading and if you're not a fan of the film, what's wrong with you?
Made the mistake of reading the author's introduction and had the novel ruined for me but enjoyed it nonetheless.
Wanted to give this 2.5 stars but forgot Goodreads doesn???t do half stars. Not a terrible book but also not super interesting. Repetitive at times.
I think I actually enjoyed this one the most out of the three. Montolio was a great character.
