First half was a slow burn, a depressing and tough slog. Then several good twists followed by an unclear ending.
Well written and the story started out good, but the last third got pretty confusing. The end was a little too science fiction for me.
First half of the book is really slow. Second part gets better with several good twists. It was just much longer than it needed to be. So relieved when I finally got to the end.
Interesting concept, original idea. The middle bogged down a little but ending picked up again.
Not very interesting, there were interruptions that had little to do with the story, and the ending was not a surprise.
Talk about slow burn! First two-thirds of book was mostly mental dialogue, almost DNFed, but glad I didn't. The ending had good action and a couple of twists.
Highly recommended but I don't know why. This is the second in the series that I have read and I guess it's going to be the last.
