“Perhaps even people you like and admire immensely can make you see the World in ways you would rather not.”
oh. my. god. i don't think i've ever read anything like this. it had slight Verity vibes (probably because it's CH) but honestly this plot was so unique. i cant speak too much on it without spoiling things, but if romance/thriller books are your vibe then you'll probably be into this one.
i think a lot of those who left negative reviews didn't finish the book. the main characters morals start to get a bit muddy at some point and a lot of the lower ratings revolve around that. tbh the entire thing is a mindfuck and you cant judge it until it's over.
now if you'll excuse me- i have to go stare at a blank wall for a few hours and process what just happened <3
a world where the men go to husbandry school? the women are worshipped and respected? yeah i can get behind this 100%
-1⭐️ for that twist at the end. honestly who let that happen
Definitely one of my favorite books. I've read it multiple times and I genuinely get sad at the end (even though it's a happy ending). It was interesting to see it from the dogs pov. It really makes you think. There are some really amazing quotes in this book as well. One of my favorites is “That which we manifest is before us; we are the creators of our own destiny” You should definitely read!!!!
i have to stop going into books blind. predictable ending. boring characters. casual racism???
i put off ACOSF for awhile because i didnt like Nesta but.. she won me over in the end
i planned on reading the first few chapters before bed.. then stayed up all night reading this cover to cover ✨
a true enemies-to-lovers story about a witch who finds herself falling for a witch hunter (whos also her best friends older brother✨)
i'll be preordering the next book asap :)
i was hooked from the very beginning and it only got better! the chemistry. the banter. THE SPICE. it's a solid 5 all around from me. i wasn't sure about the whole ‘professional wedding objector' thing at first but it was so fun! the chaos of it all was kind of everything
started off really strong. i literally laughed out loud a few times! i thought it would be a 5/5 but somewhere about halfway through it got iffy and i was just wanting it to end
i absolutely devoured this book. Rhapsodic filled that ACOTAR shaped hole in my heart <3
this was so so beautiful :') if you're into enemies-to-lovers, fantasy, and men who would go to hell and back for the one they love then this is perfect for you! also, I know this is labeled as YA but be warned that there is one spicy chapter in here (its easily avoidable if that's not your thing)
2.5 ⭐️
this book almost put me in a slump. the first half dragged on like crazyy and i almost had to dnf it (and i sorta wish i had). the plot picked up a little but still felt a bit blah. just lots of info dumps and repetition.
overall, disappointing. i heard so many good things about this series. im kinda interested to see where this story goes so maybe the second book is better?
i was told the series picks up after this book and only gets better. here i am, only one book in, and i fear i might like this series more than ACOTAR
