My heart is a puddle of feelings. This book destroyed me in all the best ways. For sure a favorite of all time. These characters, this family, this home 💕 Absolutely wonderful and endearing.
I can already tell this one is gonna suck. Read a couple of reviews and that seems to be the general consensus. So not gonna waste my time with it.
Got about halfway through this book. It wasn't bad it just wasn't keeping my attention and I never felt like picking it up to read. Might come back to it later on.
Gorgeous cover, however the content left much to be desired. Bad writing, cringey dialogue, fated mates taken to the extremely insta love and pretty meh smut. And even tho it's a short book I couldn't torture myself any longer.
Asian Horror stories are just top notch. Hoping they make this into a movie because it has a lot of tense creepy scenes that I would both enjoy and regret watching lol. Also, this book has reinforced my hatred of elevators.
I made it about 22% into it. But I'm struggling with the writing and the pace. I even tried the audiobook but just couldn't get through it. I'm still very intrigued by the plot and concept, so maybe I'll come back to it one day. But for now I'm dnfing so I don't get myself in a slump.
Not in the mood. Currently wanna read all the October things, so postponing this to November.
As much as I love all the psychological elements in this book so far, the plot is moving way to slow for me at the moment. I'm just never in the mood to pick this up and whenever I do I feel like I could be making better progress with another book instead. So I'm putting it down for now and might revisit it this summer or during the fall when I have more time to dedicate to it.
It's pretty unbearable trying to get through it. The characters really annoy me. The situations are absolutely ridiculous 🙄 and I just don't see the point of the book. Might try again some day but for now it's a no. So still team Tolstoy at the moment.
Can't stand the characters 🙄 looked up spoilers for the ending and it sounds incredibly dumb. So a dnf it is.
It's just not holding my attention. I thought I would enjoy this because I do like the Targeryans but I'm incredibly bored by all of them at the moment 😮💨
Meh, just not excited to pick this up and keep reading. The MC talks big but rarely delivers. So he really did not endear himself to me. Which means I could care less about what he goes through. Its a shame because i do love the sci-fi elements, world building and lore. So setting this one aside for now. Might come around to it another time. Since I do own the next book in the series.
This was a reread for me and I definitely enjoyed it a lot more the second time around. Mainly because I've finally read the Prose Eda and other Norse mythology related texts. So I had a lot of fun recognizing the different inspirations and aspects that Riordan picked for his retelling. Plus there was a lot I had forgotten since my first read through so it was very entertaining and wonderful to follow Magnus and his adventures. As well as rediscover this world again. Very happy to continue with my reread of this trilogy.
The way her family keeps treating her is annoying me and also making me feel shitty. So putting this aside for now.
