My biggest takeaway from reading Matthew Perry's autobiography is gaining a much deeper understanding of addiction. Rest in peace, Matthew Perry.
An endearing Filipino queer love story with heart. A must-read for "Red, White & Royal Blue" fans.
An engaging tale blending friendship, love, loss, and workplace dynamics in the world of game development. It offers a unique behind-the-scenes look at game creation, leading to a satisfying conclusion. I enjoyed reading this, but found the pacing uneven and during the middle of the story, I found myself losing some interest.
Fun, quick read with short stories about being the perfect gay uncle, meetings with Ryan Murphy, stuffy award shows, and adventures on Broadway. Perfect for summer.
I truly enjoyed 'Tell Me How to Be' by Neel Patel. I began reading the book without knowing much about it. It took a few chapters to get into the story, but once the story gained momentum, it was a captivating page-turner with unexpected twists. There's an LGBT subplot that enriches the narrative, delving into secrets, shame, trauma, and lies, pushing a family to their limits in their quest for closure and purpose. Highly recommended.
An engaging and fast-paced read. McCurdy offers an honest glimpse into her life as a child star and her tumultuous relationship with her narcissistic mother, who pressured her into a career she never truly wanted. This book will make you look at every child star with a lot more compassion.
I was able to finish this before seeing the movie. At first, with all the dialogue, it took me a little while to warm up to it. But when it hooks you, you're all in! It's such a heartwarming and nostalgic glimpse into young queer love between two Mexican-American kids in the 1980s. It's wonderful to see such a meaningful, diverse perspective on the coming-of-age tale.
