THIS ONE IS MY FAVORITE
I was shocked to see that people disliked Hattie. To me, she was endlessly relatable and I understood (almost) all of her decisions. Hattie is a wonderful neurodivergent heroine and I will throw hands for her.
Okay, so, it's been several months since I've read this book and it has overtaken my personality entirely. I will accept no slander of this series.
I loved everything about this book up until the rushed and rather disappointing ending. The atmosphere created is eerie and gorgeous, but the plot left me wanting more.
Honestly a little bit disappointing. The concept was really cool, but I found it very predictable and almost cheesy.
Plot was way too predictable and I hated the protagonist. She was a “not like other girls” girl and that's annoying as hell.
This book is a solid 3 for me. While it was written pretty well and had a decent concept, it just didn't leave me as satisfied as I wanted to be. Most of the main character's decisions were questionable to me, and I couldn't understand her relationship to her best friend until 3/4 of the way through the book. I also wish the love interest was developed better. His presence was very exposition-dumpy.
Though it's not my favorite Libba Bray book, I found I couldn't put it down. I love her sassy turn of phrase and the way she crafts her characters. Sometimes I thought the subject appeared a little heavy-handed, but overall it was beautiful, funny, a great read.
I really loved this, so I rated it 5 stars. If I could do 4.5, I probably would, simply because there were a few editing errors. It didn't take me out of the content though, and I laughed out loud at some of the footnotes. ❤️
I don't know why I'd only rated this 4 stars before. Must have been a moron then. This is one of, if not THE best Bridgerton books. Anthony is perfect, Kate is perfect. The best.

I'm deeply confused about the ending of this book. But since I'm a sucker for a morally gray love interest, I'm diving immediately into Kingdom of the Cursed
