Overall, it was a very good book. She was very self aware and focused on brain health, which was awesome. Though, sometimes the way she spoke about him seemed a little too forgiving, it was, for the most part, very aware of what he'd done wrong.

i really liked this! i liked how she discussed her feelings of apathy all throughout her life in depth and how she knew she was different from most other people because of that. I also liked the incorporation of learning about psychology as well as her story of how she was driven to become a psychologist to learn more about her condition. super insightful & inspiring!

This book wasn't really a page-turner for me but despite that, it was a pretty good book with some great life lessons.

“I wondered what terrible thing it was that I had done.”
“I remembered everything...Maybe forgetfulness, like a kind of snow, should numb and cover them. But they were part of me. They were my landscape.”
This was a great book with a great peek into mental illness with the perspective of the 1940s. There was a lot of fluff in my opinion that seemed pointless to the plot, but an amazing book nonetheless.
6/5 !!!!!!!!!!
This is one of my new favorite books of all time. This is a perfect book. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about it. This book is why I love reading.

i really enjoyed the writing and storyline of this book! where it was lacking for me is, i think, my expectations of it being focused on being dystopian when in reality that was such a small aspect of the book. ultimately, this book is about 3 friends growing up together with a side plot of dystopian. So if you go into it knowing it's mostly a coming-of-age story rather than a dystopian, you should enjoy it!
This was so good, i loved this!! The last page had my jaw on the floor!!!!!!!
Also I'm never going on a cruise.

Emily Henry is definitely a talented writer but I think sometimes it takes a little too long for her to get to the point. This book was filled with some very beautiful lines but honestly it could've been 100 pages shorter if it weren't for the back and forth lack of communication between, not only the main couple of the book, but also the entire friend group. Overall, I did enjoy the book and understand why people like it so much (it has some great overall messages) but it just wasn't as life-changing for me as it seems it was for most of the others who've read it.

this is my first ali hazelwood book & i had a good time! i really like the inclusion of science because it really adds to the plot rather than it just being a romance so i'd definitely read more from her!

I was pretty disappointed by this one. The writing was weird in that so many times sentences would hop so quickly from one thing happening at one moment to something happening literally the next day. I'm just also not really into the kind of horror that makes up this book, which I really didn't know the specifics before reading. Not a bad book, just not for me.

yeah this book was just not for me. it had some beautiful quotes but it was a bit too philosophical and existential for me and it felt like it kept saying the same things over and over. also, i'm a sucker for mentions of multiverses but this did not do it well at all. I can see why some people liked it as a whole, but it's just not really for me.

Incredible insight to David's childhood of extreme child abuse. This book is an extremely difficult read because of the content, but it is something important for people to read in order to get just a glimpse into the life of an abused child.
Update: This book has stuck with me a while since reading it. Because of this, I gave it an extra star. I often find myself throughout my day, dwelling on the horrific events that occurred in this book. This book is not for the weak, that's for sure, but I do suggest reading it to understand what abuse could look like & understand what some children go though. If you do read it, I promise you will never forget it.

The twists were pretty good but the whole magical aspect of the story was weird. Other than that, it was a pretty good book!

“Is it possible that this voice in my head isn't the Holy Ghost, and that instead it's OCD?”

At first, I thought this book was pointless considering how well she wrapped up the ending of It Ends With Us. But as I read it, I realized that it was necessary because it was important to gain more of a perspective of Atlas and who he is considering we didn't really get the chance to fall in love with him in the first book. Overall a good read that wrapped up the story very well.

This book was so fast-paced and enticing that I couldn't put it down. I really enjoyed getting to see into a world that I don't know much about (book publishing) and see a woman utterly go crazy because of it. I really enjoyed this one!
