Beautiful story about a young girl dying of pancreatic disease and her classmate who she ends up being friends with, even though they are polar opposites. They learn about life and how to live it from each other. A tear jerker that broke my heart.
Beautiful fantasy manga. Tragic story about friendship, love, and family. I am interested in continuing with the series.
Story about a young girl becoming a secretary for a business executive who is also a vampire. It was a little smutty and demeaning for my liking to continue with the series, but it was a fun palette cleanser...
Another great manga that ends on a cliffhanger. Beautiful art with a mysterious story. I will definitely read the next volume soon.
Becoming one of my favorite mangas. I just can't get over the beautiful artwork! Strong Harry Potter vibes. Story is a lot of fun.
Stopped caring at 200 pages. I love slow-burn fantasies, but this one wasn't for me.
I couldn't get into this book because the language was so atrocious that it distracted me from the story. Concept of the story is sound, it just wasn't executed correctly.
This is a hauntingly beautifully story about 12 sisters who were cursed. The book gave me chills and some parts of it terrified me. If you like a dark fantasy with ghosts, gods and a little romance then I recommend this book. A fun and fast read.
Talk about a book that took a bunch of plots from old airline movies from the past and mashed it up together to make a story. This story is boring, unrealistic and all over the place. It just seems she was trying to hard to get that “wow” factor, but it ended up flat. The cliches were so bad. Yawn. Not a fan.
Not a horror fan, but this manga is disturbingly good. The old school art was lovely and gave the stories a creepy vibe. I enjoyed it.
Not as much fun as the last two books, but it was still pretty enjoyable. I thought it was just going to be a trilogy, but this book ends on a cliffhanger. Now I have to wait for the next installment.
A very dark, psychological manga. It is very well written, but a bit too dark for me.
This is definitely different from other Brandon Sanderson books. I still enjoyed the book overall. It was a fun read.
Oooh...this was such a lovely and whimsical read. I really had fun reading this book. I'm so looking forward to reading the other 3 “secret project” books when they release this year. 5 stars!
Beautiful volume of the classic manga that takes place before and during the French Revolution! I couldn't put it down. I can't wait until Udon releases the next volume.
I really wanted to like this book, but there was just too many characters to keep track of. The story was a bit overdone. I should have known with the glossary at the beginning of the book. This one just didn't hold my attention.
If you read The Killing Joke graphic novel by Alan Moore, then there really isn't anything new in this book. It reminded me of the graphic novel and the animated movie combined. It was fun to read it in prose and book itself is beautiful. It is fun to try out, especially if you love Batman stories.
I had a hard time at the beginning of this book because I spent too much time trying to read the Dutch names and cities. It didn't help my reading flow. To get through the book, I basically skimmed over all the Dutch names and just went into the nitty gritty part of the story. Once I did that, the book was fascinating! I love Audrey Hepburn. She was always my favorite actress. Learning about her life and her struggles during WWII was so sad and moving. I have read many Audrey Hepburn biographies. This one helped fill the gaps during the time in her life that she never really discussed. It was a very lovely book.
This book was a lot of fun to read. I really enjoyed this Beauty and the Beast retelling. Out of all the characters, Gray was my favorite! This was such a great read that I ordered the sequel.
I really don't read much historical fiction set during WW2, but this beautifully written story really captured my heart.
The characters didn't capture me and the book is way too slow. I don't think I will continue with the series. This really makes me sad because I was looking forward to reading this book.
