A highly addicting space opera. I forgot how much I love this type of sci-fi. So much fun to read.
I was really enjoying this book until the end. Too many plot twists which made the ending cheesy. 2.5 stars.
This was a historical fiction about Korean culture during the Japanese occupation. Beautifully written, but so sad. Loved it!
This might not have been the best book I've ever read, but it was a lot of fun. It deserves 5 stars for keeping me interested, which is hard to do these days. Lets see if the rest of the series will do the same.
The story wasn't very interesting. I was actually nodding off while reading. I think I need more substance in my books, other than a modern mythology retelling with a bunch of smut. 2.5 stars.
Did not like the writing style of this book. All the characters were unlikable. It's sad because I was really looking forward to this book.
This was my first Meg Cabot book and I am not impressed. The main character, Jo, is a vindictive b—! The story is predictable. Too boring!
I received this book in my BOTM awhile ago and never read it. For some reason, I was wanting to read a good thriller. Well, this book helped satisfy that need. I had a hard time trying to put it down because I was so curious about what was going to happen next. The protagionist did annoy me because of the decisions she made, but I didn't hate her enough to not root for her in the story. It was an easy read that was fast and enjoyable to the end.
This series started off a little slow, but grew into something interesting. This book wasn't my favorite because it seemed short and the case was a little weak. Overall, this was a fun series to read.
Enchanting story that I kept thinking about after I put it down. The writing was so atmospheric that I could almost feel the environment of the story as I was reading it. Even though the characters were flawed, it was easy to become invested in their story. I can't wait for the sequel because the story ends with no real conclusion. Loved it!
Such a terrific retelling of Cinderella from the perspective of her step-mother. This book was a lot more enjoyable than I thought it would be.
This book has has a little bit of romance, mystery and a mischievous cat. Very cute and sweet story.
This was the first Karin Slaughter book I have read and I was excited about it. Unfortunately, this story didn't do it for me. I like a good mystery/police serial, but to capture me, there has to be a strong protagonist. Will Trent was not that. To me, he was the typical Beta male who was pining over his abusive and manipulative soon-to-be ex-wife...who also happens to be a criminal. I was waiting for him to “grow a pair”, which didn't happen until about 400 pages in. Definitely disappointing. I might try one of Slaughter's other books in the future, just not one involving Will Trent.
Ok, it took the third book in this series to hook me in. This book was by far the best of the Charlotte Holmes series that I read. I usually don't like books that are written in 2 different perspectives (Holmes & Watson pretty much every other chapter), but for this story it just happens to work. A fun read from beginning to end.
I'm usually not a fan of contemporary romances (especially YA), but this one was absolutely adorable. Loved it from beginning to end. Very heartwarming.
This book was definitely better than the first book. Still not a favorite series of mine, but I still want to know what happens. Jamie Watson can be a little whiny, which is a slight turn off in an otherwise interesting story.
I enjoyed certain parts of this book, however some parts were quite slow. I didn't hate the story, but it did seem a little juvenile at times. I will continue the series to see what happens next.
I didn't realize it would be so short. It wasn't very scary, which coming from me is huge because I am a big chicken. Okay story and a very fast read.
At first, I thought this book was knock-off of the ACOTAR and Cruel Prince series. Sure, it has a lot of similarities, but the ending of this book got to me. I will read the 2nd book when it releases.
This book got super boring halfway through. The fantasy world-building is virtually non-existent. This series is not for me.
Pleasantly surprised by this book. I didn't think it would be a book I would enjoy, but it kept me captivated throughout. This book did not get the hype as others, which is a good thing. To me, it was a sleeper hit.
This was just bad. The writing was bad. There were elements of this story that was too similar to other popular books. There was no plot. Just bad!
