Fantastic psychological thriller. Some points off for multiple points of view, but the emotional depth of the young characters was very well written.
Amazing follow up to Scythe. Was a joy through and through. Sad it took me so long to get to it.
This is a complex and horrifying look at obsession and trauma. However, what took away starts on the review for me was the horrific torture of the family pet that happens near the end of the book. It goes on for about four pages.
Bit of a slow start, but once you get past the ‘failed mission' portion, the conversations on life and the meaning of it become very poignant and fun to read.
Sick and twisted with no real value unless one wants some nightmare ‘stranger danger' fuel.
