Great book. Hope there is a sequel as I'd love to see the characters come into themselves a bit more !
I found myself addicted to this story from the very beginning. I absolutely love Cill and Kat and the way their love triumphs all.
After a raid sends Cill to prison for four years, he is released back into a world that is completely different from how he left it. The MC is falling apart at the seems, and he's facing a girlfriend who stopped coming to see him a year prior. Everything has changed, but he's determined to get back to loving Kat, even if that means doing something he never thought he would. Kat is harbouring some secrets of her own, and fears what will happen when they all come out.
This story gets a 4.5 ⭐ rating from me, and the spice rating is about
Fantastic book to get you in the Christmas spirit!
I absolutely adored this book and all of the holiday traditions that Kate does with her family. I loved the banter, and teasing. Damon is definitely an ass at the beginning, but he more than redeems himself. And it's spicy too!
I was so excited to see this little nugget is set in Blue Beech, one of my all time favourite series! Charity brings you into this little world she's created and I absolutely adore it. This little holiday
novella was so cute, and I loved the little second chance at romance here!
Fun!
I absolutely loved the banter in this novella! I'm a big fan of workplace romance and enemies to lovers! The banter between Garrett and Savannah is top notch! Definitely recommend for a cute holiday read!
“This was supposed to be a marriage of convenience. I never expected it to be much more.”
Let's start with what I did like:
I love marriage of convenience/forced proximity and billionaire. It's up there with one of my favourite tropes. This is my first read from Anise Storm, and I quite enjoyed the storyline. I thought Caspian and Paisley were amazing together, and Paisley really came into her own, despite the hand being dealt. She was able to stand up to Caspian's uncle, and was true to herself. Caspian is your typical alpha-ceo. His mannerisms sucks (constantly interrupting Paisley, for example) and he thinks he's gods gift. But underneath that he just wants to feel the kind of love he missed out on growing up.
What I didn't particularly like:
It was a touch over-detailed, but not enough to make me dislike the story. I feel like some things here and there could have been left out.
Overuse of the word “females”. This is probably the biggest beef I have with this book. It would have been so much better if I didn't read “females” for every time the author should have just used women. I don't know why, but this word just bugs me when it's used a descriptive word. “The female” is just off-putting.
Overall, I'd give the book a 4. There was a lot of good in those pages, and I truly did love Caspian and Paisley and their story! If you love billionaire, forced marriages...you'll like this one!
This is a beautifully told friends to enemies to lovers story. Jasmine was hurt once by Tyler, and led to believe what happened between them was a mistake. She vowed to never let him break down her walls again. She moved away and ignored his existence until her best friend called her home to plan her wedding...
Jasmine swallows her pride to be there for her best friend, but it proves difficult to keep her walls up from the person who hurt her all those years ago, since it's her best friend's brother.
There are a lot of ups and downs and I don't agree with all the decisions this couple made, however, I loved seeing their chemistry and the way their relationship was pulled together. This story made me shed a few tears and I was heartbroken with the characters. A beautiful story! Jasmine and Tyler will stay with me for a while ❤️.
Shep and Bridget are absolutely adorable! Bridget thinks she needs help “securing” a man, and enlists the help of Shep after having a revelation that results in a simple equation. Of course these two have off-the-charts chemistry that has been brewing from years of friendship. I loved the chapters of texting as it brought some realness to these characters as well. Another awesome job by Lili Valente! Can't wait to read the rest of the series!
⭐⭐⭐.5/5
Now, I LOVE me a good enemies to lovers, and I love me a good rom-com story. But Im not going to lie, I struggled with the storyline here. Cutter and Theo are adorable when you get past the “Cutter is only doing this to make an ex jealous” stuff. It's hard to get past that since it's 70% of the book... BUT I love Lili Valente's writing style and it certainly made me chuckle a few times. I may take a break from the series before finishing Saint Zach's story ❤️.
⭐⭐⭐⭐
If you like 80s nostalgia you'll love this rom-com! A single-mom, grumpy/sunshine romance set in Boston is a great read. It's a workplace romance with a single mom who is a prior actress, a new in town grumpy producer (who the kids are scared of), and second chances.
Henry and Bella have a complicated history and when Bella runs into him on the set of a TV reboot, she freaks out. She's been keeping a few secrets...including an almost 6 year old little girl. Henry just wants his life back on track after living back at home for 7 years, so he takes an AP job in Boston, where he runs into his childhood crush...again.
This story was well written and I loved the 80s nostalgia. I also thoroughly enjoyed the dialogue in the office as it made me connect more to the characters by learning their strengths both in the office, and outside of it.
There are some overlaps of previous characters in the series and I do think you'd want to read them all in order to have the best reading experience, but this can be read as a standalone as well.
Note to those who follow my smutty readers who follow my reviews: there is fade to black and no real spice here. But the story is great!
Arc given for honest review.
Nicholas is the perfect book boyfriend, seriously.
I'm not going to lie here. The first 25% of this book was incredibly difficult to get down. It was over-troped and the dialogue nearly killed me.
It did, however, get better once I pushed myself to continue. In the end, Nick and Kenzie are pretty cute, and things do get a bit spicy. I loved Nick as a character from the get-go. Kenzie I could have done without. I didn't much like her personality. I did like that she persevered, and made something of herself, after everything she had to deal with.
All in all, it wasn't terrible, but it's not my favourite.
Quick, filthy read!
Although the talk of body dysmorphia was slightly incorrect, this novella had everything I wanted. A curvy h, a possessive H, filthy scenes and a HEA . Definitely recommend this quick read!
Super quick read, cutesy! Loved the banter. I'd love to see a full story about these characters. They're great haha!
Wooooowie!
This book is part one of a duet series (each book being full length). I thoroughly enjoyed reading this, and parts of it made me cringe HARD (mostly due to the abuse Eden endures). Please heed the TWs if certain abuse triggers you, this book will not be for everyone, and that's okay!
This story follows Eden and her “kings”, Giovanni, Anthony, Marco and Santos. After a huge misunderstanding/unfortunate circumstance, Eden becomes homeless at 17, leaving her boyfriend, Santos, to wonder what happened. Years later they stumble into the strip club she works at and finds her drug addicted.
My husband kept distracting me, and then I ended up sick, so I was able to live in this world much longer than I normally do (7 days from start to finish) and I soaked up every bit of it that I could. I can't wait to read book 2 and find out what happens in the “GAMES” (IYKYK) story.
I don't know.. maybe I'm missing something here. But I feel so confused by the characters. For a #1, I feel like there should be some backstory into the characters. The author introduces them like we should already know who they are. I don't see anywhere that tells me I have to read a book before this one. I can't finish this book as I'm too confused and stuck on trying to figure out where the heck these people came from.
3.5 ⭐⭐⭐
Jay and Charisma are in the MMA business, promotions and managing. They have been competitive since they were kids, and are constantly trying to out-do each other. They have a very messy past and now have to work with each other for the common good of a client. Through the pages we see them able to move on from their past and work through the hardships.
This was my first read by Jax McKay and although this is the 3rd book in the series I didn't feel lost or confused by the content. In most standalones I usually end up confused by some of the content lol. This was very well written and I recommend to anyone who enjoys workplace & sports romance!

I have waited for this, for what seems like forever, and I am so glad it has finally arrived. Criminal is my favourite book in the series so far! I reviewed an early copy of this book voluntarily.
Lydia and Talents story starts with Tramp (Book #1) where we see Lydia, an escort, with Talent, a lawyer. During the book we find out more about these two, and if you haven't read Tramp, you may not want to read the rest of this review.

.
Criminal takes place after Camilla and Wilder get married (the first time) and shows a deeper look into the mafia world. This book shows the hardship of loving someone with trauma, and how they can overcome it. Lydia's inner monologue of push and pull was fantastic and I loved seeing Talent's side with how he handles Lydia's hot and cold personality.
I absolutely loved Lydia's character development and how she learns to trust and love Talent by the end. Lydia struggles with a lot of self confidence issues and I find myself connecting to her character as she worked through those thoughts. My heart breaks for Lydia. I liked that Talent pushed her a bit so she could get there, even if it wasn't his original intention. In between these two fighting for their love we get to see issues between crime families and new characters popping up to make problems for the family. I also enjoyed seeing the dynamic between Talent and his brother, Wilder. Seeing the support they give each other during hard times is very heartwarming.
I thoroughly enjoyed this one, and look forward to reading more in this series! Because that ending ! I need more!
Funny, sexy sweet!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I absolutely love Rhett and Lucy. They chemistry from the beginning is beautiful. This whole series has been wonderful to read, but I think Rhett and Lucy are my favourite couple.
Rhett is new to the Nashville Devils hockey team, traded after some bad press. He is grumpy and doesn't let anyone close enough to see who he is. Lucy is sunshine and rainbows. She is the PR person for the Devil's and knows how to make these hockey players listen...well all except for one broody Devil.
Rhett and Lucy find themselves in the center of a media firestorm when they wake up from a night in Vegas that they can't seem to remember....with rings on their fingers. Rhett is one mishap away from losing his NHL career and Lucy is one mistake away from letting her father down and losing her job. The two of them decide to play out their marriage until the end of the season....what could possibly go wrong?
There are a lot of issues Rhett needs to work through in order to have a healthy relationship, and I loved his character progression. I enjoyed the dynamic between Lucy and her sister and their parents as well and how that progressed through the book.
I can't wait to read Dirty Devil! This series is so light and fun and Im impatient!
This was a DNF for me. I got to about 30% and cut it quits. Just could not get passed the writing style. It felt forced, and I just didn't like it.
Colton is Vada's brother's best friend - and her one time secret. After spending a night together while grieving the loss of her sister in law and friend, they agree to keep their night a secret.
But just because you can keep a secret, doesn't mean the feelings go away. Colton promises Vada that when he's done school he will give her the time she deserves...but life happens and sometimes we don't keep our promises.
Colton is full of secrets. With his family he has to be. When he finds out an even larger secret, it threatens to ruin his relationship with Vada.
I loved Colton and Vada. I think they had a bit of growing and healing to do, but they're good for each other. Vada frustrated me a few times, but with her past I can understand her reluctance to trust Colton.
I loved the side characters, and I can't wait to read about Cassidy's story next!
