I really enjoyed reading about companies that have gone from good to great. The book identifies a variety of companies that have gone from good to rate based on a systematic scale utilizing their stock prices. The differences between good to great were very interesting. The most interesting part was learning about the things that both good and great companies continue to do with varied success. The great companies find a few extra factors to make themselves great. This is a great book to read if you are looking to identify ways to improve your company or leadership style.
I read other strengths books previously and some of it was repetitive. It was all still very important. I would suggest at least reading the last chapter to identify ways to lead a staff utilizing strengths.
Audre shares an amazing emotional story within the context of history accompanied eloquently by poems. I gave it four stars only because near the end, I felt rushed and wanted a deeper understanding of Audre's relationships.
I read this book without reading part 1. It made me laugh out loud and cry! She tells a story of life as an aging woman that isn't always shared. Not only did I enjoy reading it, I learned a lot. I gave it 4 stars mainly because I personally didn't like the ending. I won't spoil it.
This book provided a clearer insight into how the food industry works. If you enjoy the book I would also suggest the movie Food Inc.
Easy read and great escape from reality- jumping to the future with a love-able group of characters.
