Note: I'm all caught up in the anime as of right now so I know basically everything that happens and decided to pick up the manga to see if there were any differences...
And the funny this is...the anime is truly faithful to the manga (the source material). I really love how the movement of the characters is drawn and you can sense that through paper (especially for Hinata's quick attack). Haikyu is my comfort show and I'm attempting my third rewatch as I type, and the thing that makes a comfort show is the characters for me. These characters are so well written and I love seeing them all in the beginning when they're all new to each other and still kinda suck at volleyball and basically haven't quite meshed as a true team/unit. It's always amazing to see the beginning episodes of the anime and now being able to read them it's quite nice.
