Definitely a fun read! Good twists and turns along with an unusual premise. Yes, it required a bit of suspended disbelief, but who cares. At 80 or so pages I'm not expecting John LeCarre or even Robert B Parker. I just want to be entertained. This book more than accomplished that.
Oh and the main character had complete conversations with “his” cat. That alone was enough to make me like the story (because I never do that).
the story had everything to be amazing, so if it fell short you have to wonder what went wrong. Was it the mere implausability of it all? the detectives tqlking to him only at 3 am and taking that long to figure all out? him only talking about his condition several meetings into it? the fact he had money at all? the President being a naive idiot and talking too much? Maybe all of it.
I got this book via free Kindle download. The description sucked me in! Although this book is silly and pretty unrealistic, it was a fast-paced, fun, short murder mystery and I really enjoyed reading it. :)
