"Tessa has everything to lose. Hardin has nothing to lose… except her.
After a tumultuous beginning to their relationship, Tessa and Hardin were on the path to making things work. Tessa knew Hardin could be cruel, but when a bombshell revelation is dropped about the origins of their relationship—and Hardin’s mysterious past—Tessa is beside herself.
Hardin will always be… Hardin. But is he really the deep, thoughtful guy Tessa fell madly in love with despite his angry exterior—or has he been a stranger all along? She wishes she could walk away. It’s just not that easy. Not with the memory of passionate nights spent in his arms. His electric touch. His hungry kisses.
Still, Tessa’s not sure she can endure one more broken promise. She put so much on hold for Hardin—school, friends, her mom, a relationship with a guy who really loved her, and now possibly even a promising new career. She needs to move forward with her life.
Hardin knows he made a mistake, possibly the biggest one of his life. He’s not going down without a fight. But can he change? Will he change for love?"

These people are batshit. My favorite review of this book only says, “I love these two idiots.” And that sums it up nicely.
Others have pointed out that this series is like a gnarly accident. It's a total train wreck, but you can't help get sucked in & want to know what happens.
After the first book, I was PISSED. How DARE he?!? I figured there was no coming back from that & let's be honest, there really shouldn't have been.
But these two idiots just can't stay away from each other.
In this installment, I found Tessa's behavior to be the most abhorrent. I mean, Zed was totally in on the bet, too. But, she just takes everything he says at face value. Steph has to beg to be forgiven & she's out kissing Zed? He's clearly shady af.
Anyway...let's see what shenanigans they get up to in the next installment. I'm sure it won't disappoint.
This series is kind of like a train wreck in the way that it's so bad but you have to keep reading it just to find out what happens. I continued the series hoping that Hardin would redeem himself for the way he acted in the first book. In a way, he did, but he still has a lot of issues that make him very unlikable. In the race for must insufferable character, however, Tessa wins this round. Her actions in this book actually made me feel bad for Hardin at times. Here's to hoping the next book is better :/
Could this be more boring? I don't think so. It was hella repetitive and too much dramatic.
3 stars because, surprisingly enough, the plot twist in the end got me curious.
