Gives me a whole new set of tools to apply to how I eat. Challenged my belief that local is always better. Provocative. Also some great tips on how to find the best food no matter where you are.
The author is one of those economists who arrogantly states solutions that he knows are not going to be implemented. His solution to American obesity? Eat less. Addressing foods engineered to be addictive? Shop at the foul smelling Asian markets where even he is flummoxed by the food labels. Environmental issues? Carbon taxes that no American politician would have the balls to suggest.
