If you're reading this expecting something scandalous and juicy, I'll just stop you now. It's not worth your time. Even if the main character in this book is based on Diddy, the worst quality about him is that he isn't faithful. Nothing about “freak-offs” or anything of the such. There is a part where homosexuality is suggested with another rapper, but it's a minor storyline and isn't salicious. Still, it is a little suspicious how this book is so hard to find... hmm..
If you grew up in the hip-hop scene of the late 90s/early 2000s, this will be a trip down memory lane. But I still feel like the book felt flat. The characters don't really have much growth. There were also TOO many side characters and it was really hard to keep track. This book could have easily been shortened 100-200 pages if we cut some of these side characters out.
Also if you're looking for this and don't want to pay outrageous prices for a print book, check your local library on Libby. That's how I found this on audiobook.
