Loved the second half of this book, when the action speeds along.
Rose's stay in Baia in the first half seemed to slow down the pacing.
Lamenting Dimitri turning Strigoi but he's still hot!

My favorite of the series so far. All the characters had a lot of growth and the story exploded beyond just what happens at St. Vladimir's. Rose spent a lot of time in Russia and took the journey she needed to get closure after what happened in Shadow Kiss.
I could not put this book down, I literally stayed up nearly all night finishing it! This book certainly has a twist to it and leaves you begging for more. I kept hoping Dimitri would be different, not Strigori but just pretending to be acting it. I can't wait for the next one!
Oh dear. This is good. Started a little bit slow, and I hate Richelle Mead's habit of explaining a little bit too much about events that happened in the previous stories, but it ended well enough. I'm not sure whose team I'm on when it comes to Rose's love life, but I know the next book will provide some interesting enough intrigue.

Okay, the book isn't as scary as i imagine. Pertemuan kembali antara Rose & Dimitri gk seburuk yg ak bayangkan, tp tetp saja, Dimitri sekarang strigoi (vampir jahat).
Rose mencari Dimitri ke SIberia, kampung halamannya, dan ketika akhirnya mereka bertemu, Dimitri mengungkapkan kenapa dia ke Siberia. Di buku ini juga udh ada bbrp petunjuk (walau masih sangat samar) jika strigoi bisa dikembalikan ke bentuknya semula.
Adrian ternyata adoreable. Hatiku gk sehancur sblmnya melihat Rose & Dimitri hrs terpisah dgn cara tragis, krn Adrian ternyata benar2 tulus menginginkan Rose, & menurutku Adrian manis sekali walau gk sedahsyat Dimitri hehehe.
