Rachel Brooks is excited for the new school year. She's finally earned a place as a forward on her soccer team. Her best friends make everything fun. And she really likes Tate, and she's pretty sure he likes her back. After one last appointment with her scoliosis doctor, this will be her best year yet.

Very nice... I liked this book and the descriptions of experiencing scoliosis. I just didn't understand why the author didn't mention the people like her family telling her to stay straight before she started wearing a brace... I mean I experience that all the time... I also have to wear a brace and I haven't worn it for years now because I thought people will make fun of me and look silly. Reading this gave me the courage to go to the doctor and get the brace at last. I am scheduling an appointment this week!!! I loved how real the friendship problems were... The only stuff I didn't like was Tate... He didn't seem that nice and I think the romance was kinda unnecessary. Kyle was definitely the worst and SpoilerI can't believe he wanted to touch Hazel's breast like what the heck??? Plus she's all flat!!! Blach... And the unnecessary calling Frannie a lesbian like... Kyle is soo mean and dumb!!! I felt bad about Frannie's mom who committed suicide due to a mental illness and calling it an accident of overdose felt weird... I recommend it so much and especially to other peeps who share the back problems too!!! Alyson Gerber is so real in her writing and I will surely read her other books!!!
