Café in Berlin

A fantastic resource for someone learning German. Our narrator is Dino, who comes from Sicily to Berlin, and each story has him describing a small adventure. Every story is only a few pages, making them very approachable, and they are all either interesting or funny or both.

When I first started this book I hadn't yet begun formal German lessons, just some learning apps, and I understood about 10% of the content. A few months into my formal lessons and I understand about 80% of the content with about another 10% that I can get from the context. Reading something in German for fun (as opposed to homework) makes me feel smart, confident, and excited to keep going with my German learning.
