Alyssa Cole delivers another fun, sexy romance novella in the Reluctant Royals series! Regina Hobbs is nerdy by nature, businesswoman by nurture. She's finally taking her pop culture-centered media enterprise, Girls with Glasses, to the next level, but the stress is forcing her to face a familiar supervillain: insomnia. The only thing that helps her sleep when things get this bad is the deep, soothing voice of puzzle-obsessed live streamer Gustave Nguyen. The problem? His archive has been deleted. Gus has been tasked with creating an escape room themed around a romance anime…except he knows nothing about romance or anime. Then mega-nerd and anime expert Reggie comes calling, and they make a trade: his voice for her knowledge. But when their online friendship has IRL chemistry, will they be able to escape love?

Super low-conflict friends-to-lovers romance, works better if you've just read A Duke by Default, because a lot of the main character's family conflict is detailed and resolved in that book (which stars her sister). I like Reggie a lot but I felt like Gus could use more development. This is still a lot of fun, but read as a companion piece to Book #2.
4,5★ sólidos!
2nd) it still good!!
1st) A autora escreve muito bem novellas e esse é o “problema”evidenciado na série. Nesse conto curto, o drama é reduzido, a resolução dos problemas em uma página não é corrido, e isso torna a estória redonda.

Puzzles, nerdery ahoy, online friendship that blossoms into more, autistic mc, fabulous heroine who takes no shit, great chemistry, a couple who actually communicates...was this book written for me???
My only complaint is that it was a novella and thus by default moved too quickly for my tastes. I really wanted to delve deeper Gus and Reggie's relationship, as well as the characters themselves. But it was still terrific, and I'm very glad I didn't skip it (like I do most novellas).
Note: I listened to the audiobook, and the narrator was fantastic!
Also, 10/10 would watch that anime.
