He’s under my skin…
After Katmere, I shouldn’t be surprised by anything. Including the existence of a world beyond my world called the Shadow Realm. Yet here I am, stuck in a strange, dangerous place with the worst of the supernaturals, the monster that other monsters fear: Hudson Vega. He might be Jaxon’s brother and ridiculously hot, but he’s a complete bona fide pain in my ass.
The question is whether we’ll find a way out before I kill him…or run out of time.

Again, moments of inappropriate for teens (in my opinion). Other than that I loved this story. I really enjoyed how the author lets us see Grace and Hudson's friendship grow. It's not your typical page 1-10 they hate each other and page 11 they're in love. This really is a story of two people becoming friends and eventually more.
Not only do you get to see them grow together, but we see them grow as individuals. Hudson's growth is drastic for the timeframe but still very well written. I think my favorite part of his growth is his love of Smokey.
I feel that Grace's growth happens more after she learns what she is.
This was a cute read. Fun to see how those lost “months” for Grace and Hudson were. Explains a lot behind Grace's memory loss as well as how she and Hudson came to be mated. Although I enjoyed this side trip, I can't wait to get back to the main story and the rest of the crew. LOVE this series.
