A series of murders in New York City has stymied the police and FBI alike, and they suspect the culprit is a single killer sending an indecipherable message. But when the two federal agents assigned to the investigation are taken out, the FBI takes a more personal interest in the case.Special Agent Ty Grady is cocky, abrasive, and indisputably the best at what he does. But when he's paired with Special Agent Zane Garrett, it's hate at first sight. Garrett is the perfect image of an agent: serious, sober, and focused, which makes their partnership a classic cliche: total opposites, good cop-bad cop, the odd couple. They both know immediately that their partnership will pose more of an obstacle than the lack of evidence left by the murderer.Practically before their special assignment starts, the murderer strikes again – this time at them. Now on the run, Grady and Garrett have to figure out how to work together before they become two more notches in the murderer's knife.

I usually don't read this genre, but I was really intrigued by the premise and the potential, so I got a copy. Phew! The UST (unresolved sexual tension) is off the charts! Ty and Zane are interesting characters, though to be honest, I found their initial combative banter annoying - Ty especially grated on my nerves.
But then, their relationships changes, and fortunately Ty got less annoying.
If you're used to crime novels, the case is pretty straightforward (saw the bad guy from a mile away) and not as complicated as you'd like. After all, the focus is on Ty and Zane, and we get a lot of their interactions instead.
Still, fantastic work.
I am shedding internal happy relieved tears. overall I enjoyed the main characters WAY TOO MUCH they remind a lit bit of cough sam cough dea- ANYWAYS....
what i expected: an fbi case and some intrigue/tension, some good twists, a slow burn romance and lots of Longing TM
what i got: a really flimsy fbi case that was like, a joke, and two really annoyingly angsty men who were barely interesting and couldn't get their lives together. bleh.
