I did the audiobook for this at some point in the last year or so. I forget when now.
It's pretty deep in the whole Jack Ryan series, and I haven't read any of them, just seen most (all?) of the movies based on Jack Ryan books.
Once I got up to speed on some things that had happened I was able to follow the story fine. It was descent, and enough to make me want to check out some of the previous books in the series at some point. Maybe if I can get them in audiobook format for another car trip.
This book also includes John Clark and one or more of the guys from the Rainbow 6 stuff.
The main plot is essentially a parallel of searching for Bin Ladden and stopping him from executing another 9/11 like terrorist plot.
