A fascinating historical novel about the political situation in America and in France in the years round about 1775.
Benjamin Franklin is staying in Paris and tries to get support for the American Revolution against England.
In the end he is successful, although the young king Louis 16th knows exactly what he´s doing by helping revolutionists.
But he is put under pressure by his stupid wife Marie-Antoinette.She and her clique find it chic to be just a bit revolutionary.
The novel is also known under the title "Weapons for America".
