Perfect Conclusion!
“History is not just a tale of men's making, but is a thing tied to the land.”
This book is a perfect conclusion to an amazing series, its a solid 4.5/4.75 stars, only reason it didn't get 5 from me being that I liked Enemy of God that tiny bit more!
The ending to Derfel's tale was a masterpiece and not just him, all the other characters that took us on this journey.
Great Book.
Really good retelling will probably check out Cornwells other books at some point. Even though it's a work of fiction it made me think about how crazy the power of superstition and the ravings of a few people must have affected the world back then. Oh and Lancelot can suck it.
9/10 or 4.5/5 for those who insist on stars.
This book is still really good. The ending is excellent. The melancholy is well done. The writing is still moving and evocative. But it's my least favorite due to some plot decisions that I just didn't love. I still highly recommend this trilogy and it is now my go-to recommendation for people who like fantasy to try historical fiction.
Não tava preparada pro choque do Lancelot, Aelle, Mordred, Nimue, Merlin, td junto e misturado nesse terceiro livro.
I'm giving this book a full 5 star, it's not solemnly earned by this book alone but to the full series as a whole.
This is one of the better historical books ever written, or at least read by me. And it's cleverly done, taking a classical and well known myth, refresh it and put it in a vaild historical context. Bravo!
