Saying 'Put it in, put it in!' to the man that's courting (and scheduled to propose to your brother) is NASTY work💀💀💀💀. And in the drawing room where anyone could walk in, no less? Nah. Ungovernable horn. LOVE IT.
These two had a lot of heinous behavior. Deeply unserious behavior. Your nearly betrothed omega asks you to please put some distance between you and his younger brother who has a crush on you and you say no? NO?! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Liam is not angry enough for me. Because what do you mean no you won't give him space or stop scenting him or touching him all over? Am I a joke to you? (spoiler-Liam was absolutely a joke to them💀)
Neither of them really tried. I swear. This man was running two parallel courtships in the same goddamn house. And the secret one was more blatant than the one he was actually supposed to be doing.
Cuddling in the forest? Scenting each other whenever they could? Insisting Jules come along on most dates Devlin had with Liam? Fucking for the first (well, second, but...technicalities) time in an unlocked drawing room where Liam could have walked in any second? Sneaking into Jules' room for bloody fucks and snuggles?
Like I said. Nasty work. Really good to read, though. I was rooting for these infidels the entire time. Speaking of, why DOESN'T infidels mean people who commit infidelity? I'd love for it to mean that. Petition to change meaning and find another word for the other thing.
Anyway. What made it even better was that they were doing all this BEFORE finding out they were bonded previously. So. No mating bond tugging. No nostalgia. Infidelity purely for the love of the game. I have to respect it.
That said. I took forever to get into this because of the narration. What on earth is going on with Devlin Wylde? All the words sound very.....round. For lack of a better word. Sounded like a lot more r's than there should be. Thank God I insisted because I knew it's Alessandra Hazard so some highly entertaining fuckery was sure to be afoot.
And I was right. But this never should have taken me all these days. It really is a good book.
