I am surprised by how much I enjoy these books. Now if only the library had the third one.
Awesome book, Richelle has come a long way as a writer. The ending however was a shock! Sad yet also happy. I can't wait for the next book to see where Dimitri and Rose end up and I would LOVE to see the vampires start using their magic as weapons.
I read the first Vampire Academy book a while ago and am only returning to the series now, 9 months later.
And what a return!
Loved the character interactions in this one and the emotional layers. Thank goodness I have Shadow Kiss ready to go!
I don't like this ending as much as I loved the first and third one. It was still good!
What annoys me the most about Rose is the fact that she gets so annoyed whenever someone calls her immature, especially when Dimitri does it, but then she goes and proves exactly how immature she is. I get that she is still a teenager, but she KNOWS she should not be acting that immature and she still does a lot of stupid stuff. I also started to get very tired of her emphasizing how curvy she is and how much better she looks compared to the other girls at the Academy. We get it Rose, you look good, no need to mention it every other page.
I finally got this book through PBS and I dove right in! Romance and jealousy twist together with danger and death. It's a good balance. I liked the change of scene and the new characters. I loved the addition of Adrian. I hope he gives Rose and Dimitri a run for their money! Rose grows up a little bit in this second book. She takes things she's learning and applies them to her very real situations. I was proud of her. I was also proud of Dimitri at the end! I've already started the third! I can't wait to see what happens next!
I loved this book. In it we continue to learn more and more about the Moroi, Strigoi and Dhampirs. I like how Richelle Mead weaves in what happened in the last book, which definitely helped being that I read the first book last year and had forgotten some of the details that were important to this book. I think the Moroi using offensive magic is pretty cool. It seemed like the way things should have always been and a much better way to help protect the Moroi from extinction. I'm looking forward to the next book in the series.
stupid decisions were made freely on here but i guess they all made sense at the end of the day. and dont tell me lissa will end up with adrian? I love christian man. also the ending was perfect, satisfied my hungry lonely heart.
I have to admit, I did not enjoy this book as much as I did the first one. This book honestly bored me. Unlike the first book, I was unable to read this book in one sitting. I kept getting distracted and wanting to stop reading this book. I didn't really get pulled into this book until the last 100 pages or so. Overall, this book was below average for me. Despite this, I want to read the next book soon!
Ah, tante Richelle, you're breaking my heart into pieces. I suspect some authors have psychopathic mind, they kill off likeable character.
Oh, where do I begin?
1. tante JK killed Sirius in order of the phoenix, Dumbledore in half-blood prince, & Snape in deathly hallows
2. Tante Suzanne killed Finnick in mockingjay
3. Tante Richelle killed (spoiler) Mason.
Despite Rose didn't like Mason the she adore Dimitri but still, his death hurts so much.
Tapi di buku ini krn kematian Mason Dimitri jadi lebih terbuka sama Rose. Gk sabar baca kelanjutannya. Dan aku udh baca spoiler di buku 3 nanti hatiku bakal lebih hancur lagi.
Hancur hancur hancur hatiku....
My rate: 3,8
Yasss! This volume made me be close to tears. I need the third book as soon as possible!
