At this point I am just hate reading these books. I get no enjoyment from them. But I keep hoping the next will be better. This one really showed its age. Yet really publish date is no excuse for the constant jokes made at the expense of the LBGTQ community. That and the constant stereotypes of Males and Females in the books. All the fire fighters were men. All the women were domestic and incapable of changing their own oil. Even the poor dog was denied his happy ending. There power was there to give Chloe her dream of being a cat but instead it was given and quickly taken away in a cruel plot gimmick. But really not surprising with all the other intolerance in the book.
