I loved being back in the Old Kingdom with Lirael, but the climax seemed to happen far too quickly and the romantic plot line felt unnecessary.

I love Garth Nix's writing. I was so excited to see a new abhorsen book. It was not as good as the other abhorsen books but it was a live book to remind me why I loved these book so much in the first place.

Very enjoyable to be back in this world, as the original trilogy is one of my favourite series of all time! I will say the start is a little slow but the momentum picks up as you go.

Almost as good as the original three! So good to have more closure on Lirael's story. I love her so much and it's great to see her still growing in confidence. Old favorite characters make appearances in very sweet ways. I definitely cried a few times of happiness!

This book was an awesome ‘end' to the main series, and they handled dealing with Clariel/Chlorr in a surprising way in lieu of the cliche I expected. Plus, getting to see the Disreputable Dog again made me far happier than it had any right to.
