This spin on the traditional tale has dinosaurs who visit Norway as the main characters.

I liked it, but I didn't like it. I'm not sure. Here we have the story of Goldilocks, but instead of visiting the home of the three bears, she stumbles into the home of dinosaurs. This is definitely funny and full of lessons to be learned. I'm not sure which story it more believable, be it the bears or dinosaurs... but perhaps I'd lean toward the plotting dinos. I don't love this book, but I could still see it winning awards and I'm certain that children will be giggling in the floor over the silliness of this story.
When I was getting ready to put up my review I discovered that Mo Willems is the author/illustrator from the An Elephant and Piggie Books. I know these are super popular, but I haven't read any of them yet. So maybe if I had come in loving those I would have felt more strongly for this one. We'll see. I guess I'll have to go back and give those a look-see.
Thanks to HarperCollins for providing a copy for review.

Utterly delightful. I often don't like retellings of classic children's stories, because it is the adults who are bored of the real thing, not the children. But this is different. Witty and fun, it would have appealed to me enormously when I was the target age. And it still does.
