An urban fantasy with a main character who is a grave witch and a private detective. Who isn't a fantastic fighter, but is the owner of a Chinese Crested. It's a fun series.
Although Alex is a grave witch and can talk to shades of the dead, she doesn't usually see them strolling around. Out for a nice quiet lunch with Tamara, she sees exactly that. Enter Briar Darque of the MCIB and Alex isn't sure if she's a suspect in this crazy case, or helping out the good guys. I really love this series. The characters are great. I used to be rooting for Death, but now I'm kinda leaning towards Falin. I am ready for more!
