I read this when it was first published (1991?) and now I've read it again. It struck me this as a delightfully novel story, and I find that to be true today.
I wonder if the sequels are at the library. I think I need to look for them.
“The Jolly Postman” for adults. Beautiful art accompanied by an interesting and mysterious correspondence between an artist and ... his muse? Or is she just a woman with whom he shares a telepathic bond? And will the relationship destroy him? My curiosity has been piqued.
