So volume 3 is more of the disjointed “preludes” to the titular Age of Darkness. We see the Dark Queen extend her dominion to the Realms of Olympus (retired Gods apparently), Wonderland, and Oz. If you haven't read the Wonderland and Oz arcs (like me), then things are more disjointed than usual, since I don't know who most of these characters are. The artwork in the entirety of this volume is pretty good; all three issues had different art styles.
Taken by themselves, the weakest story is definitely the first one. “Godstorm” gives you a look at the current state of Zeus and his brothers. I didn't even realise Gods of Olympus were involved in the Grimm fairy tales world. It's not a particularly deep story, so it feels like I was reading an epilogue with no real clue about what had happened. Wonderland is the second issue, which does attempt to provide a bit of recap so you can sort of build an impression of who the two ladies are. The last issue on Oz is similar to Wonderland, in that it shows you what had come to pass, before bringing it all to a dark end.
I guess all this is again meant to be building up to some big event. But with the amount of different places and different times this Dark Queen keeps travelling to, it certainly feels like she's taking her own sweet time to personally make things happen, with so many villains probably just waiting for her to finish her plane hopping and get back to the actual invasion.
